Job Title: ASS Teacher (KG and Cycle 1) Department: Academic Branch: Al Danah Reports To: Head of Early Years/Primary International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah, a leading British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a passionate and dedicated ASS Teacher to join our academic team for the upcoming academic year
We are looking for an inspiring educator with a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our youngest learners in Kindergarten and Cycle 1
Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum for England
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student well-being and achievement
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field from an accredited university
Possession of a recognised teaching qualification, such as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK, or an equivalent professional teaching certification/license
(Preferred) A Master's Degree in Education or a relevant specialist area

Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and/or Key Stage 1 (KS1) within a British curriculum school setting
Demonstrated success in planning, delivering, and assessing a broad and balanced curriculum for KG and Cycle 1 students
Experience working in an international and multicultural educational environment is highly advantageous
Familiarity with the educational landscape and regulations in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) is desirable

Skills Required: Technical Skills: Strong pedagogical skills with a deep understanding of early childhood development and effective teaching methodologies
Proficiency in utilising educational technology and digital learning platforms to enhance instruction and student engagement
Ability to implement differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning styles and needs
Effective classroom management strategies that promote a positive and productive learning atmosphere
Competence in data analysis for monitoring student progress and informing instructional decisions
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Outstanding interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
A collaborative team player with a willingness to share best practices and contribute to school improvement
Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and professional growth

Knowledge of Specific Curriculum: Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for England , specifically the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum content and assessment methodologies
Proven ability to effectively deliver and assess the learning objectives of the British curriculum to early years and primary students

UAE-Specific Requirements: Full compliance with all regulations and standards set forth by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) for teachers in private schools
Ability to successfully obtain ADEK teacher approval and licensing
Successful completion of all pre-employment checks, including enhanced criminal background checks and professional reference verification
Possession of a valid passport and eligibility for a UAE work visa
All educational degrees and professional certificates must be fully attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of origin and subsequently by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE upon arrival.
