Job Title: Class Teacher (KG) Department: Academic Branch: Al Danah International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah, a leading British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an inspirational and dedicated Class Teacher for our Kindergarten (KG) department
We are looking for an exceptional educator committed to fostering a stimulating and nurturing learning environment in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
--- Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a specialization in Early Childhood Education, or a relevant Bachelor's Degree combined with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or an equivalent internationally recognised teaching qualification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK is highly desirable, or an equivalent internationally recognised teaching license/certification valid for early years education
Evidence of continuous professional development, particularly in early childhood education and British curriculum methodologies
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in a Kindergarten or Early Years setting
Demonstrable experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, including planning, assessment, and reporting
Prior experience in an international school setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Proven ability to create a dynamic, inclusive, and child-centred learning environment
Skills Required: Pedagogical Expertise: Excellent classroom management, diverse teaching methodologies suitable for early years, and effective assessment strategies in line with EYFS
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young children, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community
Technological Proficiency: Ability to integrate educational technology to enhance learning and administrative tasks relevant to early years
Collaboration: A committed team player, willing to contribute positively to the KG department and school-wide initiatives
Adaptability & Creativity: Flexible, resourceful, and innovative in approach, with a passion for fostering curiosity and holistic development in young learners
Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively and respectfully within a multicultural and diverse environment
Knowledge of Curriculum: Profound understanding and practical experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework as implemented in the British curriculum
Comprehensive knowledge of child development principles from birth to five years, and how these inform effective early years pedagogy and practice
Familiarity with progression pathways within the EYFS and how it aligns with the broader National Curriculum for England's principles
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students, ensuring inclusive practices
UAE-Specific Requirements: Ability to successfully obtain ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) Teacher License and all required approvals
This includes demonstrating evidence of degree equivalency from the UAE Ministry of Education for qualifications obtained outside the UAE
Successful completion of all pre-employment checks, including criminal background checks (Good Conduct Certificate) from your home country and any country of residence in the last five years
Medical fitness certificate as per UAE immigration and employment regulations
Understanding of UAE cultural norms and a commitment to promoting respect and tolerance within the school community.
