Job Title: Inclusion Teacher - Cycle 1 (KG) Department: Academic Branch: Al Falah City Job Purpose: The Inclusion Teacher will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all Kindergarten and Primary students at ICS Al Falah City, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive tailored support to thrive within the American curriculum framework
This role involves collaboration with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to foster academic, social, and emotional growth

Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a relevant educational field from an accredited university
Valid, professional teaching license/certification in Special Education
Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field is highly preferred

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience as an Inclusion Teacher or Special Education Teacher within an educational setting
Demonstrated experience working effectively with Kindergarten/early years and primary students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, mild to moderate developmental delays, and behavioral challenges
Direct experience implementing inclusion strategies and differentiated instruction within an American curriculum school environment
Experience in an international school setting is highly advantageous

Skills Required: Technical Skills: Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Expertise in various diagnostic and formative assessment tools for special education and data analysis
Strong ability to differentiate instruction, modify curriculum, and implement accommodations and strategies to meet diverse learning styles
Competency in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems to support student learning and communication
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
High degree of empathy, patience, resilience, and a positive, growth-oriented mindset
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple student caseloads effectively
Strong collaborative and team-oriented approach, working seamlessly with general education teachers and support staff
Adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and cultural sensitivity appropriate for an international school environment in Abu Dhabi

Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to effectively adapt, modify, and scaffold American curriculum content to ensure access and success for students with varying learning needs
Familiarity with US best practices, instructional methodologies, and current research in special education and inclusive education settings

UAE-Specific Requirements: Full compliance with all regulations, policies, and professional standards set forth by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK)
Ability to successfully obtain ADEK teacher approval/licensing prior to commencement of employment
Completion of all necessary visa requirements, background checks, and attestation of educational documents as per UAE federal and Abu Dhabi emirate regulations.
