We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated FS Teacher to join our Early Years team, fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment aligned with the National Curriculum for England
--- Qualifications: Educational Attainment: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field
Teaching Certification: A recognized teaching qualification such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with QTS, specifically for the Early Years or Primary age range
Professional Development: Current First Aid certification and recent Safeguarding training are highly desirable or required upon appointment
Experience Requirements: Teaching Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience within an Early Years or Foundation Stage setting
Curriculum Experience: Demonstrable experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of the National Curriculum for England
International Experience: Experience in an international school setting with a diverse student body is preferred but not essential
Skills Required: Technical Skills: Proficiency in planning, assessing, and reporting within the EYFS framework
Skilled in creating engaging, play-based learning environments that cater to individual student needs
Competence in utilizing educational technology to enhance learning and communication (e.g., interactive whiteboards, online learning journals)
Strong classroom management techniques appropriate for early years, promoting positive behavior and a safe learning space
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Adaptability, resilience, and a collaborative approach to teamwork
Cultural sensitivity and empathy, respecting the diverse backgrounds of our school community
Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth Understanding: Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of the National Curriculum for England
Implementation: Proven ability to effectively plan, implement, and assess the seven areas of learning and development within the EYFS
Pedagogy: A clear understanding of early years pedagogy, including play-based learning, continuous provision, and the role of observation in assessment
Progression: Familiarity with the progression from EYFS into Key Stage 1 (KS1) of the British curriculum
UAE-Specific Requirements: ADEK Licensure: Ability to meet all requirements for and successfully obtain ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) Teacher Licensure
This includes academic qualification verification, background checks, and attestation of documents as per UAE regulations
Cultural Awareness: An understanding of and respect for UAE culture, values, and traditions
Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in accordance with ADEK guidelines and international best practices
Visa Eligibility: A valid passport and eligibility for a UAE residency visa.
