Job Title: FS2 Teacher Department: Academic Grade/Cycle: KG (Early Years Foundation Stage) Branch: Al Danah Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah, a prestigious British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated FS Teacher to join our vibrant Early Years team

Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Create a nurturing, stimulating, and safe learning environment that fosters holistic child development
Assess and monitor student progress using EYFS assessment methods, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's individual learning journey and well-being
Qualifications & Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field from an accredited university
Recognised professional teaching qualification, such as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Early Years specialisation, or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK
Valid teaching license/certification from country of origin
First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)
Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting
Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and assessing the British Early Years curriculum
Prior experience teaching in an international school environment, particularly in the Middle East, is highly advantageous
Skills Required: Pedagogical Expertise: Strong understanding of early childhood development theories, play-based learning methodologies, and effective classroom management strategies for young children
Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership
Technical Proficiency: Competent in using educational technology, interactive whiteboards, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) to enhance learning
Soft Skills: Creativity, patience, empathy, strong organisational abilities, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team spirit
Cultural Sensitivity: A strong understanding and respect for local culture and customs within the UAE context
Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth and practical knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework of the National Curriculum for England
Proven ability to design and implement a rich and stimulating curriculum that promotes personal, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in young learners
Familiarity with EYFS assessment practices, including observation, tracking, and the development of learning journeys/portfolios
UAE-Specific Requirements: ADEK Compliance: Adherence to all regulations and guidelines set forth by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) for private schools
Successful completion of the ADEK teacher licensing process is a mandatory requirement prior to commencement of employment
Possession of a valid UAE Residency Visa or eligibility to obtain one
Native-level English speaker, or demonstrably excellent English proficiency (e.g., IELTS Academic score of 7.0 or above if non-native speaker).
